To achieve the desired rustic navy effect for the Des Voeux Trousers, we begin by immersing the fabric in active indigo dye. After careful oxidation and thorough rinsing, the fabric undergoes multiple rounds of tea dyeing. Black tea infused with mineral ions serves as the mordant in this process, imparting a natural and rustic allure, and infusing the textiles with a vintage or aged aesthetic.
